Safety is our #1 priority.

RIC INC considers the personal safety and health of our employees, facility personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to be of primary importance. We believe that these individuals are our most important assets and that their safety and health at RIC work sites is our greatest responsibility. Because of RIC INC's commitment to our health and safety programs we have an excellent experience modification rate (a low loss time accident rate) resulting in no compromises to the demands of project cost, production efficient or scheduled job completion.

RIC requires its employees, subcontractors, and all visitors to the job-site to understand and abide by any and all applicable OSHA Standards and MSHA Mining Standards. In addition, any applicable state and local regulations will be observed and complied with. In the interest of worker safety, RIC will require measures exceeding OSHA and MSHA standards where conditions and experience warrant.

RIC considers occupational safety and health essential for several reasons, and our policy includes:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Promote a positive attitude towards safety.

  • Establish safety and health objectives for all levels of management and employees.

  • Commit appropriate and sufficient resources to protect and support company safety efforts.

  • Provide management leadership and require all employees to take responsibility and ownership for safety, including bringing the attitude that "I am individually responsible for safety" to the job every day.

  • Ensure that each employee understands that they have the obligation to stop a job/task to prevent an unsafe incident from occurring.

  • Assure compliance with all company safety, health, and security programs and practices.

  • To provide industry leading training to our employees to better educate them how to comply with those policies as well as promote a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to safety and training. This program is supported by fulltlme safety supervisors and a third party training company, The Stripling Company of Little Rock, AR.

  • Regularly review and evaluate safety, health, and security programs, procedures, and practices to assure that they are effective and up to date.

  • Assure timely and thorough reporting and investigation of all incidents including the identification of THE ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS causal factors and the IMMEDIATE establishment of effective corrective actions.
