We believe the safety and health of RIC work sites is our greatest responsibility. We have an excellent experience modification rate (a low loss time accident rate), resulting in no compromises to the demands of project cost, production efficiency, or scheduled job completion.
RIC mandates that all employees, subcontractors, and visitors adhere to applicable OSHA and MSHA Mining Standards, along with state and local regulations. In the interest of worker safety, we go beyond these standards when conditions and experience warrant.
We are committed to providing industry-leading training to our employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and a steadfast commitment to safety and training. This initiative is supported by full-time safety supervisors and a third-party training company, The Stripling Company of Little Rock, AR.
We regularly review and evaluate our safety, health, and security programs, procedures, and practices to ensure their effectiveness and currency. Timely and thorough reporting and investigation of all incidents, with a focus on root cause analysis, are integral components of our safety commitment, leading to the immediate establishment of effective corrective actions.
